Our flight was delayed 8 hours and Samuel and his wife came to our rescue in the late hours after the ferries all closed.
They took time out of their day and night to get us across the way to our caye and he made it such an enjoyable experience.
You are in great hands with an experienced boat driver such as him and he is kind and wonderful.
We even forgot one bag and he came back to give it to us. Couldnt have asked for a better ride.

Had a wonderful experience with Sam and his expert captain skills
on our recent trip from BZE to San Pedro!!!
His company had someone waiting for us at the airport to transfer us to the dock,
where he was waiting with refreshments and drinks
(my husband enjoyed a cold rum punch while I opted for bottled water🙂).
He informed us of the water conditions and how that would impact the trip
(he is an expert navigator and made us feel very comfortable and safe)
on the way to San Pedro and back, and made sure to take routes that avoided any heavy chop.

Thank you Sam! We had the easiest, most beautiful cruise from the airport to our Airbnb's dock in San Pedro.
Sam had thought of everything, from covering luggage with a tarp to protect against spray to offering the best rum drinks I've ever had.

Not only did he get us to and from on time, but it's was beautiful ride and a not-to-miss way to travel to the island.

What a fantastic, seamless way to get from the mainland to Ambergris Caye!
Samuel was super easy to communicate with and very responsive to any question I had about when/where/how to meet.
He even reached out to our hotel to ensure everything would go smoothly.
I am so happy that we chose his company to take our group of 8 (4 adults and 4 kids) from the Ladyville Marina to our hotel’s dock on Ambergris Caye.

We are so grateful to Samuel from Belize Private Water Taxi for making our trip to Belize such a wonderful experience.
Samuel transported us to and from the airport safely and on time. He also arranged 2 private excursions for our group of 8.
The first trip was from San Pedro to the Mayan ruins and then tubing through the rainforest caves.
Our tour guide Louise ordered lunch in advance for us so that it was there when we arrived at the restaurant. It was delicious.
Louise was very informative and provided us an educational and entertaining guide through the Mayan ruins, the rainforest and the caves. We loved it!
For the second excursion, Samuel brought Boney along on the boat to guide us on a snorkel and fishing trip. We saw so many fish as well as nurse sharks and sting rays.
Boney taught our kids how to fish, and then Samuel and Boney took us to a secret island and cooked the fish we caught.
It was the most delicious meal we had on the vacation!
Overall, we would highly recommend Belize Private Water Taxi if you want a unique experience that gives you the best of Belize.

It was a blast on the way there with plenty of beer and rum punch flowing! We had good weather on the return as well.
I've used Tropic Air in the past and still highly recommend the boat experience when staying further south from the island airport with a convenient pier.

We were a group of 13 family members staying north of San Pedro on Ambergris Caye.
He and his family picked us up on their boat and took us on a full day trip to Caye Caulker.
We stopped and fed the tarpons (big fish) - watch out for the pelicans - explored on our own and had lunch on Caye Caulker,
and finished the day at Iguana Reef Resort to check out the seahorses at the Reserve. We also saw rays and barracuda.
They drove us back to our resort and then took a smaller group who wanted to snorkel to a spot not far from our resort.
They had plenty of refreshments and snacks on board the boat for us.
They will basically customize the tour depending on what you want to do.
Wonderful family and experience.

Samuel was an excellent communicator before and during the trip.
He knew the waters well as a former fisherman turned eco tour guide. He was friendly, safe and welcoming.
He arranged pick up at the airport and Sam and his wife met us at a small private dock in Ladyville where we were dropped off.
It was a windy night but he navigated the trip skillfully.
We choose to book with him because we were worried we might miss the last water taxi or flight out to Caye Caulker.
If your flight is arriving on the later side, Samuel will wait and ensures a safe ride out after flights and public water taxis stop running.
There were complimentary cold drinks, rum lunch and light snacks with a drop off at the dock where we were staying on Caye Caulker.
This is more expensive then public transportation out to islands but Samuel is an excellent choice if this later options is required.
